Kubix is a Shopify Premier Partner specialising in growing eCommerce brands. Over the past ten years, they’ve helped everyday businesses of all sizes migrate seamlessly onto Shopify. 

In doing so they have been quietly building a reputation for integrity, humility, technical excellence and commercial impact. But ‘quietly building’ will only get you so far.

As Kubix moved from challenger brand to sector leader, we needed to ensure the brand could raise the volume and remain authentic as they grew. Only by defining what makes Kubix different and what makes Kubix projects special could we transform the brand into a driver of growth.

Ultimately, by bringing their story to life, we helped Kubix realise a brighter future for the business, their clients and their industry.

 

Insight

We found a team dedicated to building brilliant businesses driven by a firm belief in prioritising sustainable, productive growth over chasing arbitrary metrics. Unlike much of their sector, what makes Kubix stand-out, and able to deliver against their vision of growth, is a technical tenacity that outstrips their competitors.

We had to ensure whatever we created put their technical expertise front and centre, but communicated a team dedicated to going above and beyond, a team for whom every business matters.

Where any wrong turn in the development, migration or marketing decision could be the end of a business. Kubix had taken eCommerce to new levels, creating a space where great work is accessible to the mid-range budget. Everything Kubix touched was simply built better, loved more, and growing stronger. This became the central idea for the brand.


Ideas

These insights showed a clear need for a brand identity that would communicate a dual truth: Kubix is a team that cares deeply about every founder and business they work with, while also being experts dedicated to finding the right eCommerce solutions – every single time. As a result, we defined Kubix’s role in the market as fuelling real businesses with the skills, capabilities, and care they need to grow as eCommerce brands.

The previous visual identity didn’t adequately set Kubix apart, and with this confident new strategy in place, there was a clearer foundation to build from. Just as with the messaging, this idea of building, growing, and progress was central to the new look.

Customers, partners and the team were all invested in the logo, so we looked to the full stop at the end of the wordmark for inspiration. 

This simple square could also be read as a pixel. Kubix create growth in the digital realm, and the humble pixel can be built on to create infinite possibilities. This idea would inform the whole visual identity.

Born from the pixel, a bespoke illustration set fuses the warmth of nostalgia and the structure of the grid to create a distinctive style that nods to the digital world, whilst depicting the abstract, the everyday, and the unexpected.

A complementary icon set helps tell the brand story, bringing services to life in a simple, intuitive way. A vibrant new colour palette, with Acid Yellow leading the way, creates cut-through in a visually predictable industry, is joined by a font pairing that balances trust, clarity and warmth. All of this is complemented by a beautifully candid photoshoot that truly captures the warmth and energy of the team, the personality and quality of their working environment, and the dedication and expertise they bring to every project.


Impact

We have refined and clearly articulated their strategy to help the right people find them at the right time. We have equipped their team with the tools to launch the next chapter for the organisation, and the confidence to grow the brand as they grow their clients’ brands, with skill and passion.

They have an identity that moves them beyond their founding stage to the established position they rightly hold as a Shopify Premier Partner, ready to define the future of eCommerce.
